Well,...
I think my new computer is going to be OK.

Not too long ago, I did this thing that they call "flash your bios", and before it could finish flashing, my computer locked up.

No mouse control, no keyboard either.

The only thing that I knew of that I could do was to turn the computer off.

When I turned it back on, my screen was black. I had no control of nothing along with nothing on my screen anymore as well.

I tried to reset my bios, but that didn't change a thing. So I had to get a new motherboard.

Which was cool. It instantly fixed my problem, and I had a computer again.

And I recently found out that my unmatched 2 gigabytes of memory was a problem. So now I'm running a single channel with 1 gigabyte of memory.

One of the things that this computer is temperamental about is it's USB's. If I don't plug my printers, and my card readers too, into certain ports, this computer won't log on to Windows.

I have to go to the Safe Mode page in order to log on.

But once I plug them into the ports that this computer prefers,.... or maybe it's Windows XP that prefers it,...

then my computer logs onto Windows like it should.

One nice thing about this computer is that it logs on very fast.

Seem's like it takes my notebook computer over 10 minutes to finish logging onto Windows. And I've noticed that it has gotten slower at it along with it's new wireless internet connection.

Anyway,..
So after all that, and then some,.. my new computer is seeming pretty stable and I think that it's going to be OK.

I think that it's been a good learning experience building my own computer. I don't think that building your own computer is for everybody though.

It can be quite time consuming, and there can be a lot of learning and figuring to do. And I think that you can buy a very stable computer for a price that's not bad these days too.

Myself,.... I think that I'll probably build my next desktop computer too. Though my next computer may end up being a Tablet PC.

Tablet PC's look like they may be my ideal work computer.

My notebook computer makes for a nice TV and DVD movie player in my bedroom.

Well,... sorry if I'm boring anybody with computer talk lately,...

It's just that I've really been spending a lot of time with computers lately.

A lot of time with computers ever since I got my first computer actually.

They've been my new toys since March of 2004.

Computers in general....
