One thing about my senior prom
and also the sweetheart dance,..
both times I chose to go with girls that I didn't know very well.
And with both girls,.. we just didn't seem to hit it off.
Both girls had very little to say and seemed shy like. And getting
back to the subject of my teeth,..
I remember asking this girl that I took to the prom as I walked her
to her front door at the end of the night if I could give her a
good night kiss.
She just looked directly at me smiling at me. I looked back at her
seriously and didn't know what that meant. So I turned around and
went home.
Thinking about this brings back a memory when I did this very same
thing again with a girl when I was 24 years old.
"Just didn't quite know what she really meant by smiling at me that
way..."
Thinking about it now makes me think that a smile like that
probably meant that they liked the idea of a kiss and were OK with
it.
Smiling with my mouth is a facial expression that I don't do and
haven't been comfortable with doing for a long long time.
I think that even if I had nice teeth,.. I still wouldn't be
interested in smiling with my mouth because its just not me to be
that way...
